Boat Ramp

Ah, the boat ramp — where summer dreams meet sturdy concrete, and tradition flows as smoothly as the water itself. Before you launch into adventure, remember the simple rules that keep our lake happy: dues paid, stickers shining, and watercraft sparkling clean. Our gatekeepers aren’t just guardians of the ramp; they’re smiling stewards of Runyan Lake, ready to help you in or out with a grin (and maybe a gentle reminder about paperwork). And if you’re wondering how to find us, don’t worry — the ramp’s lat/long is pinned on the map below, one click away from directions on your phone or browser. Easy rules, friendly faces, and a clear path to the water — that’s the Runyan Lake way.

Ramp Access

  • The boat ramp is private and available only to riparian property owners.
  • Access is coordinated through trustees or gatekeepers.
  • Please provide at least 24‑hour notice when requesting ramp use.
  • Group launches are preferred to minimize gate openings.

Requirements Checklist

  • Annual dues paid in full
  • Watercraft titled to the property owner or approved long‑term renter
  • Current state registration displayed on the watercraft
  • RLI boat sticker affixed and visible
  • Liability waiver signed and on file with RLI
  • Watercraft clean — free of invasive species (per Michigan law, 2019)
  • Renters: Stickers limited to long‑term renters; short‑term/seasonal renters are not eligible

Requests without all requirements met may be denied. Gatekeepers are volunteers — please treat them with courtesy and patience. For directions to the ramp, see the Location tab.
