About Us
Runyan Lake Inc. has been the steady hand behind the splash since 1950 — incorporated to protect, preserve, and promote the lake we all love. We handle the practical stuff (like water quality and weed control), the fun stuff (like fireworks and concerts), and the neighborly stuff (like keeping everyone informed). If you’ve ever wondered who coordinates the dues, the events, or the occasional “please don’t feed the geese” reminder — it’s us. We’re here to keep lake life smooth, scenic, and just the right amount of social.
All properties with access to Runyan Lake are members of the Runyan Lake Inc. lake association. Runyan Lake Inc. is responsible for the lake in terms of lake access, water quality, and weed control. Runyan Lake Inc. owns the private boat ramp for use by riparian members, and owns and maintains the small island. The island has a large shallow area around it and is a favorite gathering place for lake users during the summer. Runyan Lake Inc. also organizes an annual fireworks show around July 4th, and other social events for the lake community.
Properties along Runyan Lake Point and Spring Street are also members the Runyan Lake Point Property Owners Association (RLPPOA). Properties within the Plat of Runyan Lake Heights and the Plat of Runyan Lake Heights 1 are also members of the Runyan Lake Heights Association Inc. (RLHAI). Properties within the Runyan Lake East development area are also members of the Runyan Lake East Condominium Association. These property owner associations are responsible for maintenance of their private roads and communal areas – please reference the Other Associations page for more information.

Within Runyan Lake Inc.’s territory are three smaller neighborhood associations — Runyan Lake Heights (Area 1), Runyan Lake Point (Area 3), and the Runyan Lake East Condominium Association (Area 2). Each operates independently to maintain its private roads and common areas, but all remain part of the larger Runyan Lake community and follow RLI’s bylaws. Think of them as local crews keeping their corners of the lake in shape, while still rowing in the same direction with the rest of us.
