Realtor Resources

Welcome to Runyan Lake’s Realtor Resources — where listings and lake life go hand‑in‑hand. Whether you’re testing the waters, casting a line for new clients, or just trying to stay afloat with community updates, this page is your dockside hub. Instead of fishing around for phone numbers and emails, simply drop us a note through the form below — it’ll ripple out to trustees faster than a stone skipping across the lake.

If you require information about a specific property—such as dues status, lake access rights, lien details, or settlement matters—please use the request form provided at the bottom of this page. Submissions are sent directly to Runyan Lake Inc. and distributed to trustees for review. We will respond as promptly as possible to ensure you have the information you need.

Runyan Lake Inc. (RLI) Overview

Runyan Lake Inc. (RLI) is a Summer Resort Corporation with jurisdiction over the lands abutting Runyan Lake and certain surrounding properties. RLI was issued a corporate charter by the State of Michigan on November 10, 1950, and is authorized under Michigan Public Act 137 of 1929 and Michigan Public Act 44 of 2006. A full description of the territory under RLI’s jurisdiction is provided in the RLI Bylaws. A map of the territory is also available below.

Association Basics

RLI’s jurisdiction is limited to matters directly affecting Runyan Lake. The corporation does not oversee architectural standards, neighborhood development, roads, or utilities. Property development standards are governed by Tyrone Township zoning regulations. Road systems are owned and maintained by the Livingston County Road Commission (LCRC), except for private roads within Runyan Lake Heights and Runyan Lake Point.

RLI’s responsibilities include:

  • Managing lake access and use safety
  • Monitoring water quality and aquatic weed control
  • Sponsoring community events such as the annual 4th of July fireworks and Music Night on the Island
  • Owning and maintaining the boat ramp and island properties

RLI Dues

Annual dues are established by vote of the Membership during the Fall General Meeting and invoiced each January to every property within RLI’s territory that has a unique property tax ID. Dues are not prorated. Unpaid dues result in a lien being placed on the property. RLI’s fiscal year runs from January 1 through December 31.

For current and historical dues amounts, please refer to the Annual Dues page.

Neighborhood Associations

In addition to RLI, three neighborhood associations operate within the territory:

  • Runyan Lake Heights Association, Inc. (RLHAI)
  • Runyan Lake Point Property Owners Association, Inc. (RLPPOA)
  • Runyan Lake East Condominium Association

Properties located in these areas belong to both RLI and their respective neighborhood association. Neighborhood association dues vary and are billed separately from RLI dues. Realtors and title companies must contact the appropriate association directly to confirm dues and lien status.

For more details, see the Other Associations page.
